Camp Weeks

Sunday, June 16 – Wednesday, June 19   Students entering 1st-3rd grade.

This week is for campers entering 1st-3rd grade.  Campers get their First Chance at attending camp! This week is only half of a week and runs from Sunday at 3:00pmWednesday at 12:00pm. Greg Herriford and Trica Morris from Mt. Eden Christian Church in Lexington, KY are the Deans of this week.  Campers will participate in all kinds of games and crafts and will experience bible stories in exciting new ways.

Wednesday, June 19 – Saturday, June 22 Students entering 6th-12th grade.

This is a long weekend experience that runs from Wednesday at 3:00pmSaturday at 12:00pm.  This week is deaned by Mark and Angela Pearson from Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Estill County. Mark is the Lead Minister there.  This week provides opportunities for campers to ENCOUNTER God in His creation.  Campers will spend the majority of their time outdoors participating in hiking trips, kayaking, swimming, participating in an initiatives course, and much more!  Past trips have included Caving in Mt. Vernon, Kayaking along the Rockastle River, and Hiking to Flat Lick Falls.  Campers can choose to camp out in our wilderness area of can choose to stay in a cabin for the weekend as well.  This week is designed to allow campers to experience quiet time with God and be able to Encounter Him in natures playground.

Sunday, June 9 – Friday, June 14 Students entering 9th-12th grade.

This week is for campers entering 9th-12th grade.  This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm.  Flint Postle, Lead Minister at Woodbine Christian Church in Woodbine, KY is the dean for the week.  This week is designed to challenge campers to dig deeper in their relationship with Jesus.  New friendships, exciting games, worship opportunities, and a chance to try new activities is what this week is all about.

Sunday, June 23 – Friday, June 28 Students entering 9th-12th grade.

This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm.  Makenzie Jones from Locust Grove Christian Church in Keavy and Jon Carmack the Lead Minister from First Christian Church in London, KY are the deans for the week.  This week allows campers to experience God through sports.  Campers will be challenged to take what they have learned back to the court or field once they leave camp and share it with their teammates.  A variety of sports are offered during this week and it will give campers an opportunity to increase their knowledge about certain sports or perhaps even try a new sport!

Sunday, July 7 – Friday, July 12  Students entering 4th-5th grade.

This week is for campers entering 4th – 5th grade.  This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm.  Matt Johnson, the Children’s Minister from Community Christian Church in London, KY is the Dean for the week.  Campers will have the chance to ride in a paddleboat across the pond, see if they can reach the top of our climbing wall, participate in some messy games, and learn more about the importance of Jesus and what it takes to have a relationship with Him.

Sunday, July 14 – Friday, July 19 Students entering 6th-8th grade.

This week is for campers entering 6th-8th grade.  This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm.  Michael Hopkins, the Youth Minister from Community Christian Church in London, KY is the Dean for the week.  This week is designed to provide opportunities for campers to ask questions and engage in conversations about what it means to follow Christ.  Campers will also be given opportunities to participate in campfire worship, ride our zipline, compete in new games, and grow in Christ through many of our other activities.

Sunday, June 30 – Friday, July 5  Students entering 6th-8th grade.

Sunday, July 21 – Friday, July 26  Students entering 6th-12th grade.

This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm. This week partners Mission Journey’s, Larry Mullholand, and Carpenter Russell Speer, together to provide a week of instruction and challenges all within the mission field. This week is designed to make campers think about what the NEXT STEP in their relationship with Christ is.  This week will help prepare campers for the mission field spiritually and physically as they learn new carpentry skills to take with them on their next mission trip.  We will be partnering with Mission Journeys and will be taking a mission trip with campers who have attended this week of camp.  Mission trip details will be announced at a later time.

Sunday, June 2 – Friday, June 7 – Entering Grades 9th – 12th Grade or Just Graduated Seniors.

This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm. Dennie and Penny Begley from Community Christian Church in London, Ky are the deans of this week.  The Begley’s are the owners of Freedom Farm and have years of combined experience with horses.  This week is for high school aged campers interested in learning more about horses and improving their riding abilities.

Sunday, July 21 – Friday, July 26  Students entering 6th-8th grade.

This is a week long experience that runs from Sunday at 3:00pmFriday at 12:00pm.  Dennie & Penny Begley from Community Christian Church in London, Ky are the deans of this week.  The Begley’s are the owners of Freedom Farm and have years of experience with horses.  Campers are given the opportunity to learn about the horse, how to take care of it, how to saddle a horse, and will be able to ride a horse by the end of the first day.  Campers are invited to experience God through learning about another one of His creations and will experience worship in a whole new way.

Thursday, June 20 – Saturday, June 22Students Entering 3rd – 5th Grade. 

This is a new week aimed at elementary students entering the 3rd – 5th grade who are interested in attending a sports oriented camp!  Dean, Jerry Loughran is a certified, Olympic Boxing Coach from London, KY.  This week is geared towards giving elementary students the opportunity to engage in new sports as well as learn more about ones they might be familiar with.  Camper’s will no longer have to wait till they are in middle school or high school to participate in a sports week.  What a great way to spend a camp week while learning about God and the role He plays when we are on or off the field!

Saturday, July 20th  – Students Entering 1st-5th Grade

This Day Camp is constructed to give campers a chance at camp without the pressure of having to stay overnight! Join us for a fun filled day with Dean, Drew Darden, who is the Lead Minister at Steele’s Chapel Christian Church of Corbin, KY.  He and his team will be hosting an action packed day of everything camp. Registration, Times, and cost are TBA!
