For over 50 years Faith Christian Camp has served as a safe place where campers from the surrounding area have joined us for life changing summers.  Campers have grown to know Christ and have found forever friendships and memories during their time with us.  FCC has impacted thousands of lives and we intend for this summer to do the same even if it may look a little different.

After much prayer and consideration of the information provided to us by the local authorities and health departments, it is with heavy hearts that we have to inform you that FCC will not be hosting any summer camp programming this season.  Our hearts are broken for our campers and their families, our faculty and volunteers, and our staff. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we have waited to try to make the best possible decision for the camp and our campers.  While this decision will change things for our summer programs, we would like for everyone to know that we are currently seeking alternative methods in order to continue in our ministry this summer.  We believe in the impact of Christ and the importance of FCC’s role in sharing about Him.

As the FCC Board of Directors and Staff make plans to minister in a different way this summer, we would like to encourage you to remember the camp in your prayers. COVID-19 has impacted many things this year, the camp included.  Many have asked how they can be of help to the camp during this time.  Right now, the camp is facing some financial burdens like many businesses and families during this pandemic.  If you are able and willing, any monetary donations would be appreciated to help us continue in the camp’s growth and ministry.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support during this difficult time.  While we never could’ve imagined these circumstances, we are thankful for a God who is leading us through them.  FCC is dedicated to the safety and growth of all of our visitors and we thank you for your understanding as we navigate through these unforeseen times.  We will be updating everyone on refunds as soon as possible.  To our faithful supporters thank you, we love you, and we look forward to finding a new way to minister beside you all this summer!

A Brief History

In 1964, the dream for a Christian Church service camp was conceived in the mind of minister Leo Crowe.

By December 1964, the name for this camp was decided.  The name was chosen to be “Faith Christian Assembly.”  This name would eventually be changed to “Faith Christian Camp.”

The first week of camp was held at Levi Jackson State Park August 1-6, with 64 campers and 13 faculty members.  There were 11 baptisms and 22 re-dedications that first week.

On April 20th, 1966 ground was broken on our current campus.  Approximately 200 people were present.  The cabins were eventually built by individual congregations.  Six cabins in total each holding 16 campers.

The camp was dedicated on October 15th, 1967 with Harvey Bream, Jr. as the speaker.

Many updates and renovations have taken place since 1967, but our goals and message has remained the same.  God continues to use this camp to reach young people.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6
